Design Concept
The design concept for the Department of Training and Workforce Development’s Defence Industry website was developed with a focus on clarity, accessibility, and visual alignment with the sector’s values of strength and innovation. The concept explored a modern and professional look and feel, using a clean layout, strong typography, and structured navigation to guide users seamlessly through key information. The design placed emphasis on highlighting workforce initiatives, training pathways, and industry opportunities, ensuring that the site would serve as an effective communication tool for a wide range of stakeholders.
As this was a concept development stage, the approach focused on exploring different design directions rather than final execution. Wireframes and mock-ups were created to demonstrate how content could be presented in an engaging and intuitive way, balancing the department’s branding with a contemporary digital style suited to the defence industry. The design concept provided a clear vision of how the website could support the department’s objectives, showcasing its potential to deliver a strong user experience and an impactful online presence.
